Hello! My name is Anna Ardill and I grew up overseas in Nigeria. My family was in Nigeria because my parents were missionaries. I was born there and left for college in the US at 18.

I fell in love with fashion at a young age and have never stopped pursuing it. My mother and a Nigerian seamstress taught me how to sew when I was in high school. In Nigeria, you get outfits made for special occasions such as weddings, graduations and Nigerian Independence day. Looking back, I realize that the seamstresses were creating couture garments! Basically, I would go to the market, pick out a fabric, give the seamstress a sketch, wait 2 weeks, first fitting, and voila, one of a kind garment fit only to me!

I have since continued to use the skills these seamstresses taught me and sew my own handiwork. I like to mix the Ankara fabric with modern textiles such as suede, leather and tulle. Modern meets Africa.
